The Bible is God’s gift to each of us. I've always known that but for so many years I couldn’t quite figure out how to unwrap it and take it as my own possession. It was basically out of desperation as a fulltime Christian staff member of a large missionary organization that I sat down one day with my Bible, notebook paper and a pen. I opened my Bible to Genesis 1 and asked the Lord to put His Word inside of me Himself. I told Him that I’d keep coming back to sit with Him in His Word one Book, one chapter at a time if He’d keep teaching me. That was in 1987 and we’re still meeting! He’s THE BEST and letting Him lead my personal, private time with Him in His Word was THE BEST decision I’ve ever made as a Christian.

With a Master’s Degree in Education, I’ve always been interested in breaking down the learning process to meet the needs of the individual. I was a Physical Development Specialist for almost a decade before venturing into vocational Christian service. My students were physically and mentally challenged. Working with them taught me to identify and value the process that’s built into every foundational component in life and its vital role in the achievement and quality of the next step.

I’ve enjoyed applying this same understanding to growing Spiritually. It’s a step by step process that the Lord designed just for us. There are principles that apply to everyone generally but each individual has a unique journey to enjoy with the Lord. His Word is essential all along the way.
